Puerto del Rosario Spain

Puerto del Rosario is a busy port city and the capital of Fuerteventura, one of the Canary Islands (Spain). It is famous for its whitewashed houses and outdoor artwork, including sculptures of giant snails on the seafront. Near the bay, Playa Chica is a sheltered beach with transparent waters. Playa Blanca, to the south, has a strong swell. León and Castillo Street, as well as the pedestrian Calle Primero de Mayo, are full of shops.
